Vision:
To illuminate for audiences worldwide acts of extraordinary heroism and service, in order to inspire courage and humanity and to combat hate through storytelling and education.
Mission:
The Augusta Chiwy Foundation, established in 2015, is dedicated to promoting selfless service to humanity through education and inspiration.
The Foundation achieves its mission by creating and distributing award-winning documentary films and educational curriculum around the world that highlight stories of individuals who demonstrate exceptional personal courage, heroic action, and service to others.
In the chaos of the Battle of the Bulge, a young nurse and an American army doctor formed an unlikely partnership in a makeshift aid station beneath a besieged city. Augusta Chiwy asked nothing in return. She simply stayed, and she simply helped. This original painting by Foundation founder Martin King captures that quiet, unshakeable bond — a moment of shared humanity in the darkest of times.
